Hello,
I am trying to lose weight and get off blood pressure medication. Today is my first day of eating heart healthy. I found a few tips while searching for meal plans online and wanted to share them with others.
- Commit to consuming 4-6 small meals and snacks everyday.
- Plan ahead by packing your foods the night before. Thus you should always have fresh and lowfat foods.
- Keep it simple. Start by just smiply counting calories or points.
- Eat your foods slower
- Make healtier food selections
- Avoid foods high in fat, sugar, and calories
- Use a variety of fruits and vegetables in your nutrition plan. Eat 5 servings everyday
I hope someone finds this helpful!
