You can't control where your weight goes! That's all genetics. If you are naturally underweight and need to gain weight in a healthy way you might check out the book Biobalance Two. It's about eating to keep up your bodies PH Balance. Extremely thin people need to eat certain foods to support their metabolism. People prone to gaining weight eat in an entirely different way. Essentially, your diet needs to be more acidic (meat, dairy, dark meat poultry, nuts, etc.) whereas heavy people need to eat primarily fruit, vegetables, light meat poultry and non-fatty fish. There is another benefit to eating this way for either group: balanced emotions. While I don't always stick to the alkaline diet, I certainly feel better on every level when I do, and believe me I have tried everything there is to improve my body and my mind. This works if you do it!
