I'm not sure what happened but I fell sick this weekend. Actually, I'm not really sick but I have a fever. Fevers are not a disease or an illness by themselves, they are symptoms of one. As bad as I feel, I have to remember that the fever I'm dealing with is actually very helpful and it's serving a very useful purpose. A fever is your body's defense mechanism to fight and prevent you from getting even more sick, thus making you less contagious.
I rarely ever get sick and so this is a new experience for me. I admit I'm human after all. I have aches and pains all over my body and have no energy and strength. Even my nerves are shot. I know this because I snapped at my very good friend and said some hurtful things. I promptly apologized the next day. Bottom line, (let me say this like my nephew would) being sick really sucks!
I'm keeping up with my fluids, mostly water and I know that I have to let the fever run its course, but I'm looking for any home remedies that will help me speed up the process and break this fever. Do you have any? I would surely welcome your suggestions.
