Kenn - Just read your piece on HealthCentral.com, "Who Are You? - How To Motivate Yourself To Get Fit and Stay Active." Excellent, my man. I like it--works for me.
I'm a 52 year-old many mistake for 38 years, and motivated by, instead of "staying in shape," rather by "being in the best shape of my life." That's working for this former pole-vaulter with degrees in theology who develops and runs public health programs; performs high-content "performance programs" on ethics, spirituality, and health; does music concerts; stand-up comedy gigs; and has a breakthrough SPIRIT ROAD Radio program ( http://www.SpiritRoadRadio.net ). If I'm not an athlete TOO--none of these things happen well or powerfully. I bring my body to all I do (no choice...); if that's not the body of an athlete, then all I do is likewise compromised. In the words of 7-footer NBA great and renaissance man, Kareem Abdul Jabar: "Life is short; but it's real wide..."
Thank you for the inspiration, Kenn
