Yummy… Have You Even Eaten A 12 year Old McDonald’s Hamburger?

Kenn Kihiu Health Guide
  • If the food you eat is normal it's supposed to go bad after a period of time because of the natural decomposition process.  For example, if you go home and make french fries from scratch and leave them out in the open, after a week or so they will go bad which is exactly what should happen.

Compare that with fries from your favorite fast food joint that may have slipped through your fingers and found themselves in between or underneath your car seat. Those old biggie fries may have escaped from you and hid there for many months, but will still look as good as they did when you first bought them.

Karen Hanrahan a wellness educator and nutritional consultant has kept a McDonald's hamburger since 1996.  Her point was to show that they unlike a normal hamburger McDonald's hamburgers just don't decay!  Look at the picture below can you guess which one is 12 years old?

The 2008 McDonald's hamburger is on the right and

the one on the left is from 1996. Yet both do look edible.

This non-decaying food is not just limited to hamburgers but to nuggets, tenders and most of the processed foods on the fast food menu.  If you have kids then this should be particularly scary because our children pound for pound eat more food than adults and if you are feeding them fast food on a regular basis which has more chemicals than food, their little bodies are becoming toxic which makes them prone to many serious health problems including cell mutation diseases such as cancer.
