Post-workout meals and muscle confusion

I work out in the afternoon and have decided to take boxing. I usually spend anywhere from an hour to two hours with weights and the boxing session is an hour to an hour and a half. Would it be more beneficial for me to consume my post-workout meal after my workout session as soon as possible? Or would it not really make a difference if I eat after my boxing session?

Another question I had was what constitutes as muscle confusion? I train each body part twice a week with the exception of my abs and legs. I incorporate both weights and cable. Can doing the same regimen one week, a different one the next, then switching off back and forth be deemed as muscle confusion?
