I commute by bike, and have done so for the past 19 years. On my day off, I would sometimes go on a very long bike ride immediately after work. Because I work nights, mass transit is not really an option. Because I cannot afford a car, and don't have a licence, driving is ruled out. This leaves biking, which I enjoy greatly. Among the day off rides were to Santa Cruz, Pacifica, San Leandro, Sunol, several to San Francisco, and most recently to Oakland.  I have biked to Gilroy, Half Moon Bay, and Sausalito as well.
