Nutritional Full Liquid Diet

Half of my mother-in-law's colon is dead. She has been put on a full liquid diet because absolutely NOTHING can or will pass through her colon and the doctors do not want to remove it yet. She is starving and has no energy.

How can we step up the nutrition in her liquid diet to keep her healthy and give her more energy so she can at least get up long enough to shower? She has to be on this diet for up to 18 months!!

Please help!
