Q: Emotional Eating in Marriage

In your survey, I wish you had put another choice:  emotional eating.  Pregnancy helped me to add weight, but dealing with my husband's depression, the loss of his business, a miscarriage leading to my situational depression, another child, me having to work while my husband stayed home with babies, problems with in-laws, several moves, SAD, work problems, not being able to talk to my husband about problems because he gets so overreactive, and problems with parents of students, led me to stress eating.  It seemed like eating chocolate made me feel better.  I also found that eating/snacking on M&M's, nuts, &/or chocolate kisses, would help me focus on difficult paperwork or help me focus while driving.  It gave me something else to do so I wouldn't be so bored.  I also have ADD which contributes to my not being able to focus, or my not staying on task without doing one other thing.  It's a hard habit to break.  I have tried substituting carrots, but that doesn't really do it.  I'd love some suggestions to help me break this habit.
