Q: Consume more calories for exercise?

My goal is to lose 70-80 pounds. I have been working out and have been consuming around 1200 calories a day. I was wondering if I should eat more calories for the calories I have burned?!? For example today at the gym I burned almost a thousand calories should I eat more calories or only consume 1200?
