Q: Where can I find a chart that list the Doctor recommended weights for children?

My son thinks he is over weight. I want to know what he should weigh for his age and height. He will be 11 next month and he is 4 foot 8 inches. What should he weigh?

You can google a "BMI chart" and see if his weight falls in the 19-22 BMI (body mass index) vacinity.  You also want to make sure his waist size or abdomen is not carrying excess weight.  So even if he has a normal BMI - you need to make sure he is not centrally obese.  His pediatrician should weigh in on this discussion.
