Q: I have IBS and I am Lactose Intolerant. So Dairy fiber is big problem for me.

I also suffer from Osteoarthritis.  And Asthma and Depression and boarderline bi polar, lactose intolarenence and I have diverticultis.  I eat lactovarian most of the time. Although I occassionally slip up and eat chicken and fish.. I drink lots of water, My doctor says too much.  I can't stop because I crave it..  But, my test results for diabetes come out negative. or boarderline. And my biggest downfall is sweets.

I'd rather you eat a diet higher in protein and include: fish, white meat-skinless chicken, soy products, beans and legumes and eggs/egg whites AND be satisfied so you are less likely to gravitate to sweets.  Eat fruits, veggies (as tolerated) small amounts of nuts, and healthy oils only.  Whole grain carbs in 1/2 cup portions with each meal - can also help you to stay satisfied.  lactovarian is no plus if it is not satisfying you.
