Q: Does brand matter with vitamin supplements?

I have been approached by a few different home based business distributors of vitamin supplements who claim that their respective brands are more bio-available than over-the-counter brands. If I am to believe them, and purchase their products, I will be spending close to $100.00 per month for supplements. What say you?

I say not necessary - bioavailability is a big "selling point" I have seen, with very little testing or studies to support it.  Twinlab, Natures' Path ad many others are excellent vitamins.  Look for the USP label and find a multi.  Then add a calcium supplement (with vitamin D and Magnesium) - about 1000mgs daily (in divided doses) is appropriate till age 50.
