My diabetes Type 2 is under good control; my fasting glucoses is most always between 125 -- 140. I acheive this control by limiting my diet to meat, poultry, lots of vegetables, and about 1 fruit per day. I rarely eat bread nor baked goods and never eat dessert. I usually drink 1 beer per day; I sweeten tea or coffee with Sweet n Low and never use regular granulated sugar. I hope these suggestions help you.
