I have been a type 2 diabetic for a couple of years and it was so hard for me because of the love of breads and sweets.  I cut back on the breads a lot and sweets.  I treat myself once in a while with dessert.  My H1Ac was 6.0 and the Doctor said keep up the good work.  I also lost 24 pounds and down 2 dress sizes.  I am trying to get back started with working out.  The others are correct about the working out thing it helps lower blood sugar and good for the heart.  So my goal is to get totally off the pill and work out every day even if it's only 15-30 mins.  I do believe with proper diet and working out is the best way to reverse it.  Don't stress yourself out and cut back with little things.  Important to write everything down, this will give you ideas on the things that work.  Good Luck!!
