Hello Linda, sorry about the delay getting back to you.   Try doing aerobic exercise (ie the kind that makes you sweat because your constantly doing something like running, walking, swimming, biking...). Pilates and yoga are also very good for your core. It is ok to mix and match as well and may even be better for you to do some of everything every week.   sorry again about the delay.
