Hi Monique, I am a dietitian, which means I work to help people attain and maintain a healthy weight. I want to assure you that based on your height, you are at a healthy weight. And it is always important to follow your doctor's recommendations. You are at an age when your body is changing and so it is common to feel uncomfortable with your body as it changes. Also, since everyone grows and develops at different ages and at different rates, you might find that you are taller and bigger than some of your friends and classmates, but that doesn't mean you are overweight and that doesn't meant that they won't grow to be the same size as you.   If you haven't already, I would talk to your parents about your concerns with your weight. You may also want to talk with your doctor in more depth about these concerns so that he/she can give you the support you need. Heather Reese, MS, RD
