how many calories should a 12 year old eat?
i mean its summer and i want to be fit for school and its hard to loose weight what should i do i mean i play basketball,soccer,tennis,etc. but i can't seem to loose weight so i was wondering how many calories should i eat everyday?
If you are a girl you should have 1,900 calories per day and if you are a boy you should have 2,100 calories per day. Try this if you want to maintain your weight. If you want to lose weight maybe you should eat about 1,500 calories to 1,700 calories. Try not to eat less than 1,200 calories per day because you will not be happy about it. Always remember don't skip a meal if you want to be fit. Research shows that those who skip meals are less healthy than those who eat 3 meals a day. If you skip a meal you will be more likely to eat more snacks throughout the day. I hope you are satisfied with my answer.

I do not know how many calories you should eat, but if your playing all these sports and wondering why your not losing weight the answer is muscle weighs more than fat. Their is nothing wrong with muscle but if you are over wieght don't think it's because you fat, because it might just be your muscle that's producing most of the weight.

A 12 year old girl should eat about, 1000 calories a day. However if you are 14 you should eat 1200 calories a day. If you stay with this amount of calories a day you will suddenly fell better and lighter. Your skin will also get clearer and well more free, it will also get more soily which is better and helthier. Dont try and count the calories becasue you want to losse weight or be more healthy. You will anlyget more unhealthy. Everyone needs to eat 3 meals a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. you can or should also take a little snack overbetween when ever you want. However, try and keep the meals in a good and streight blanced time, dont eat at 11.00 in the morning on weekends for example, try and eat at 7-9 and later you can then eat lunch at the time between 12-15 after that a snack and dinner between 17-19. This is very important that you do not eat dinner later than 7-8, because it will take time to digest the food and if you eat later the food will not all be digested and this will turn into fat as the body has taken a break when sleeping. The people that does not eat 3 regulary meals a day plus an snack will sonner become fat. Starving yourslf is not the way, sonner your organs will eat itself thats when you are staring to have a tummy ake if you have not eaten through out the day.

I have no Idea how may calories but i am 12 years and I sat on this diet it is briliant so listen
Monday-5 potatoes and 1,5 of sour milk
Tuesday-100g or fried chicken and 1,5 of sour milk
Wednesday-100g of friend meat (any) and 1,5 of sour milk
Thursday-100g of friend fish and 1,5 of sour milk
Friday-fruit and veg and 1,5 of sour milk
Saturday-just sour milk
Sunday-just miniral water

i am doctor brown and children obeseity is growing more than it ever has and 12 year old kids should eat (girls-1,900 calories) (boys-2,100) if you are wondering why boys can eat more its because there body are mostly mustle eating less then 1,800 calories for boys might cause light headed and slimy poop (lmao) just playing im not a doctor but the facts are true go too/how should i eat.org/these facts youll see are true

Hi im 12 years old. You should probably have 1800 to 2200 calories a day, my mom told me. A little more than the average person because we are growing. I wanted to lose weight, and i have been running for about 6 mounths now. I took a before picture at the begining, and i am seeing results. If you exerzize daily, you probably don't have to worry about your calorie intake.

You should at leat est 1900 calories a day. I too play sports and deal with the fact "if i dont loose weight". Looking good in a bathing suit and back to school wear is hard. Exercise daily, count calories, and just eat healthy and you will be fine(:

You should eat about two thousand five hundred i think but you need to think that you must eat 2 pourtions of protiean to 1 pourtion of carb. and you just need to make your own meals and make everything fresh and just eat healthy and it should come off but it will take time.

hi dude im 11 and i was overweight to and i weighed 125 when i was 11 and really all i did was stick to a good diet eat healthy foods like fish and chicken and excersice a lot like basketball every day and football when the season comes around and i play baseball too so your best bet is too just eat a lot of chicken,fish,etc and excersice wen ever u can so hope this helps and a 12 year old should eat about 1500 caleries and keep track of them.

Well, you should continue playing sports at least two hours a day, also your age matters, if your very young, you can lose it in no time, if your a bit older, or alot older, it'll take longer to lose weight. Anyway, to awnser your question, you should consume at least 1000 calories a day, and burn 200-300-400 pounds,through excersize, and you'll feel much lighter.

i am 101 lbs and i am 12 yrs old and 5 foot 5. I went on a BMI website and it said that i am in the 28th percentile. I want to lose weight and i am running about 1km/0.621mile a day i want to lose about 5kg/12lbs. could anyone tell me how???

Im 12 too. And i think i weigh just enogh but if u do wanna lose some weight you could eat veggies and lean meats more often and almonds for snaking and when u want somthing sweet eat not even a full serving size of nutella on wheat bread. For activities i go bike riding often, my dad takes me to the track to run AND walk (dnt tire urself out), and i do crunches when i wach tv. It seems to work out for me.

Heres the answer if you weigh 90 pounds you should eat 1000 calories,if you weigh 100 pounds then eat about 1050 calories if you weigh 120 or 130 then eat about 2000 calories! if you dont eat enough calories then your body feels that your staving it so it holds on to your fat so you can never loose weight! Your body burns off those calories as you exercise! You play sports so that means you'll need alot of calories!As strange as it sounds you'll loose weight by eating more!

i am 12 years old this is what i think you should normally have a day....
when you wakeup for breakfast around 8:30 ish-cerial, waffles, pankcakes, frenchtoast, toast with butter or peanutbutter, fresh fruit, breakfast bars, bacon, eggs.....
around 10:00- a little healthy snack like grapes or something
at lunch time 11:45-12 ish-yummy lunch peanut butter and jelly, grilled cheese, hot dog, hamburger, apple and peanut butter whateva
around 1:30- 2- a little junk food like candy, chips, pretzels, cheezits, popcorn...ext. 12 year olds need some junk (im 12 i know!)
for dinner- chicken or steak or fish, vegetables, salad, tacos, chili and more.
for desert- icecream, peice of cake, cookie, cupcake, brownie or more =)
and every once in awhile some fastfood from mcdonalds and stuff or a little more junk food then usual.
i am 12 years old and this is my usual schedule of eating
the only reason we eat a lot is because we burn it off with our high metablisms cuz we are so young! like doing sports and stuff
