Hi QT,

I assume your question is about how many calories are there in a pound of fat. Don't just think about losing weight, what you want to do is lose fat by burning it. This is because you don't want to lose muscle. If you lose muscle, your body's metabolism comes to a grinding halt. Your goal is to lose fat. Which means you want to stop over eating, but have frequent small meals through out the day and start exercising.  To answer your question, there are about 3500 calories in a pound of fat.
