Ask your doctor if there is a hospital based dietician that you can see for a menu plan/diet and for exercise instructions.  It sounds like you need a professional support team.  Otherwise consider weight watchers, overeaters anonymous or a meal based delivery program.

With being diagnosed with high cholesterol and blood pressure;...

Hi Kay Fox,

I read your post and I understand how difficult it would be for you.  It's difficult when diagnosed with illnesses and trying to lose weight to get you back on track.  By losing weight they say your blood pressure can be reduced.  It is mentioned that weight loss and blood pressure can make a signifcant drop in blood pressure.

But how you eat also makes the difference.  Every government has a health related assistant program.  Your doctor can send you to your nearest hospital where you can receive assistance pertaining to your illnesses.  I know I did it about a year ago.  I had high blood pressure and cholesterol.  I also have a thyroid disease and fibromyaliga.  Ask your doctor for a reference to go and see a dietician at your preferred hospital.  This would be a big step towards eating right your blood pressure and other illnesses you have.

The dieticians will center on a meal plan specific for your needs.  This would be the first thing I would do.  Usually these programs are free.  Check first.  Don't want any surprises to costs.

Secondly, I would get down and exercise.  You don't have to do strenuous exercises at first.  There are so many places on the web where you can find simple strengthening exercises which will give you a hands up, if and when you decide to upstep into a more vigorous exercise plan.

I have a home gym in my spare room.  I went to my local walmart and bought "Door Knob Rope Excerciser" and they come with ankle ropes too, where you can strengthen your ankles.

Walk as much as you can; it's a bonus for strengthening your muscles and losing weight.  It's a beautiful world out there.

I hope this information can help you.  Read my blogs also I am just like you, a member here and I wanted to share my experiences with anyone who wants to eat right and exercise.
