Hi Joey,   A couple more details go into calculating you calorie needs to maintain your weight at 260 pounds and then on to how many calories to lose weight.   Your age, height, and current activity level:   Sedentary - typical daily activities (i.e., household chores, walking to car) Low Activity - typical daily activities and 30-60 minutes of moderate activity daily (i.e., brisk walk) Moderate Activity - typical daily activities and 60 minutes of moderate activity daily (i.e., brisk walk) High Activity - typical daily activities and 60 minutes of vigorous activity (i.e., jogging, biking, competitive sports)   The bottom line is calories in must be less than calories out.  So, if your diet remains the same and you add more activity, you should start to see the number on the scale go down.  Same principal applies to the food you choose, cut back on soda and fast food, drink more water and eat meals at home and the scale should start reflecting the changes.   All the best, Lisa Nelson, RD, LN Lose Weight
