I'm 14 years old, 5'2" & 120 lbs. Is there any way for a teenager like me to lose a bit of weight?

As I said, I'm 14 years old, 5'2" and 120 lbs. I have calculated my BMI and I know it says that it is a healthy weight, but I really am not comfortable with the way my body looks. I can't wear the clothes I want to wear and I don't feel comfortable wearing a swimsuit (I feel like it shows too much). I am a shy person too, but I would love to have a body I'm comfortable with so it can help my self-esteem and my confidence. I'm young and making friends, going to school, etc. I just want to be comfortable with what I look like and who I am. I also am a big fan of soda. I try to stop (also, because I suffer from chronic gastroitis), but the temptation always wins:( My parents are not that fit either so they say I look fine, which means I have to find help somewhere else. My motivation levels are extremely low and so is my willpower. I have tried to start exercising regulary, but since my willpower is not really there, it never lasts. So please, any advice you have would be really appreciated.

Hun you are 14 years old, you shouldnt be worring about your weight at this age. You are a perfect size for being that young and that tall. When I was 14 i had my appendix taken out which made me lose 12 lbs in 4 days which is not good. Im 19 now and i only weigh 100 lbs so im trying to gain weight. One more thing be happy with your size because if you get to skinny you might not like it and its hard to gain back the weight.

Plus alot of guys like a girl with curves!

I would suggest doing pilates. Your at a healthy weight for how old you are and for how tall you are. All you probably would want is to define your "skinnieness". Pilates gives you a sculpt body, which you wont be dissapointed in the way you look. For your motivation...you want to be happy with the way you look and feel. Just take 10-20 minutes a day. If not then do at least 5 minutes a day, but try to make it a routine so you get in the mix of things. Then pop try something that will kinda substitute in for pop. I know you love it, but I mean I don't think pop will hurt once in a while.
