Q: how many caleries should a 12 year old girl eat for dinner?

graduation is in 2 weeks and i know i m skinny but i just want to stay healthy and i think my theighs are fat but i dont know how many caleries i should have in a day or for meals(breakfast, lunch,dinner,and snacks)...sooo im pretty much clueless bout how to stay healthy. im goin on the tredmill 4 20 min., and not drinking soda and trying to stay healthy but then i eat dinner and i feel like i dont know how many caleries i should actually be having

Well, about your fat theighs comment-- That is normal for many girls going through puberty. As they fill in and gain weight they tend to either gain weight around the hips and theighs OR they gain around the stomach. Gaining on the theighs is much healthier than putting fat on the stomach so you're not in bad shape. If it looks like your friends still have really skinny legs, that just means they are hitting puberty later than you. They will catch up. As for how many calories you should have--i'm not going to be the judge of that. You can talk to your parents about what they want you to eat and what you want you to eat, but they will usually do what is right for you.

if you want to lose weight you shouldnt eat dinner
