Q: 60 yr. male had to quit running due to sciatic. Want to firm up chest. I swim M,W,F 1 mile in 45

60 yr. old male had to quit joggining & playing basketball due to lower back and sciatic problems.  I currently swim M,W,F 1 mile in 45 min.  I do eliptical T&T 30 min. 4 miles. I still have some  pain I believe due to eliptical, may want to swim more and do less eliptical.  I lift weights, benches, flies, pushups for 30 min. on T&T and 1 hour 1/2 on Sat.            I m wondering if the swimming and lifting are counter-productive to firming up my chest.  I'm 5 10, weigh 172, but can't seem to get chest firm.  Am I giving my chest time to "heal" after any of these workouts.     Thank you for any help.
