We're so the same Rose. I had a problem with that too. I was fat then too. What I did Rose is, I only lessen the food that I eat. For example :
For *Breakfast (I eat 3 full plates and I finish all my viands )
For *Lunch (I ate all of my food inside my lunch box)
For *Dinner (I eat about 3-5 plates because of such a tiring day and eat extra stuffs like: chocolates, biscuits etc..)
I lessen all of that but not too much. Just enough Rose. I don't want to abuse myself. But sometimes the lessened food that I eat aren't just enough, but I still sacrifice. I disciplined myself and tried to avoid some food. My body just got used with it anyway.
Of course here are some tips that I learned too:
1.)Eat vegetables, avoid eating meats always. (They really have lots of fats in that most especially pork)
2.)Have regular exercise. (You can do running, or jogging. Brisk walking. Of course do some warm-up exercise before you do that. We don't want to strain our muscles)
3.)Drink lots of water (Except when it's already past 7:00pm. I recommend you to stop drinking lots of water on that time because it can make you fat too.
But of course Rose, being overweight isn't healthy. I am recommending you more to visit a prescribed someone to help you, like a PHYSICIAN. Maybe he/she could help.
