I am 27 years old, and I am not as healthy as I should be. I was told about 5 or 6 years ago that I had chronic hypertension. About 2 years ago i was prescribed 2 medications to control it. I was also told that I had an enlarged heart. For a few months I took the medications as directed, but then the worse happened. I lost my job, and with it my health benefits, I could no longer afford the medication. Now it has been almost a year since I have had the medication. For about 8 months or more, I have been experiencing some problems that I can not ignore anymore. I think they are related to my hypertension. I started off having really bad migraines that wouldn't go away even with medicine. Then seeing spots, which progressed into occassional blurred vision, which is now constantly blurred vision. I always have this pressure, or pulling type pain in my chest, sometimes its localized and other times it radiates to different parts of my body. Like my arm, or my back, and just the other day my jaw. The other night while I was laying in bed, praying for a migraine I had to go away (I get them 4 or 5 days out of a week now) I kept seeing these flashes of light, to assure you it wasnt light coming from outside, my eyes were closed. I barely have any energy throughout the day, in fact I am just downright lethargic. I have episodes where I get extremely dizzy, and have to lean against something or sit down until my balance returns. And finally I am constantly out of breath. I feel as if a sumo wrestler is sitting on my chest. I ignored these symptoms until I spoke with my mother the other night, is it possible that I experienced a heart attack, or even several heart attacks? Or is this a warning sign saying that I might have one soon? I am only 27 years old, what should I do?
