I have been going to a curves facility but not using it as they recommend.

I have been going to a curves facility but not using it as they recommend.  I have been doing each machine for approx. 45 seconds and then moving to the next machine and doing it for 45 seconds, skipping the recovery pads in between.  On some machines I have been counting the number of reps to a certain number (say 20) and then moving on.  This week I started "curves smart" in which each machine is set to personalized levels and then lights on the machine show you if you are reaching or exceeding those levels.  My question is, is it better for me to do fewer reps. faster and stay within the 30 sec. as the "smart" program has me do or to do more reps slower, as I had been doing?  I am not reaching 20 reps etc. on the machines on which I used to do that many.  I don't want to pay the extra money for the  "smart" program if it is not better for me.
Thanks so much
