Hi Alfred,
Meat in excess can certainly increase weight, but anything in excess can increase weight, not just meat. In general, it is best to eat lean cuts of meat such as turkey, chicken, pork and lean beef. Pay attention to the cuts as well, some parts of an animal are much higher in fat than others.
Though meat can be high in fat, it is also a great source of protein! As long as you are not eating pounds and pound of meat each day, the benefits of meat generally outweigh the fat content.
Remember, everything is moderation!
Hope this helps!
Sara
