Q: Work out, eat healthily, yet the numbers keep rising???

<!-- /member box -->

I am a 34 year old female I run at least 15 miles a week, I also do about an hour of other intense cardio.  I lift 3 times a week, and do extreme core work.  I eat rather healthily, never eat fried foods and drink no soda or sweetened beverages, yet I can not stop gaining weight.  In the three years with this intesive training program I have gained 20 lbs, and no matter what I switch up, I do not lose any weight.... None, nothing is working.   I am so desperate to find the missing link here.  It is causing me great concern.  Any suggestions would be appreciated...

It is quite likely that the weight you are gaining is the result of added muscle. Remember, muscle is much more dense than fat.
