Topics:Stomach & Thighs

I'm about 50 pounds overweight. I am serious about trying to lose the weight and decided I was going to start running or walking. However, I was told that running and walking will make my legs bulk up ang get bigger because all of your weight is forcefully dropping down on your legs when you run. So how can i take weight off of my thighs fast? Also, I want to lose some extra belly fat- - sit-ups never seem to work. Other than changing my eating habits, how can I get rid of this extra fat and get toned? When I say toned, I mean not flabby- however, I don't want to lose the feminen features such as my chest and rear. Please help!! Thanks!

Whoever told you that about walking and running needs some education - look at the olympic serious walkers and runners - they don't have fat legs - it is aerobic exercise - it causes weight loss.  Get to work, girl and simply watch potions and eat healthy proteins, non fat dairy, fruits and veggies, whole grians and high fiber grain foods, and use very small amounts of healthy oils for cooking.  Even weight training won't bulk you up unless you have a 'tendency" and it would still take dedication and heaby weight s to cause that response.
