Q: What is the normal blood pressure for a 35yr old female?

I am a 35yr old married female with 2 children.  I have had epilepsy since the age of 1yr

which is controlled my medicine.  And I was wondering what my normal blood pressure for my age should be.  I would like to be on top of my health.  I do see the doctor about every 6 month regularly & get it checked, it is always normal.  I would like to know what normal is.

Hi Tammy, Welcome to MyDietExercise. Optimal blood pressure is put at 120/80 as you can see blood pressure readings include two numbers: systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. The top number (120) is the systolic pressure, which is the pressure within the arteries while the heart is pumping, whereas the bottom number (80) is the diastolic pressure, a measure of pressure within the arteries while the heart is resting and refilling with blood. To find your range, see the helpful blood pressure chart below. That also includes suggested normal ranges by age http://www.disabled-world.com/artman/publish/bloodpressurechart.shtml Health and Happiness Kenn Kihiu http://www.danceXfitness.com Reply
