Q: What is a good belly measurement following menopause

I have been told that it is important to guard your midriff section from getting too large. Mine is 42". Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hi Jane,

The "apple shape" is linked with more health problems, such as increased heart disease risk.  Ideally, your waist circumference should be 34 or less.  May seem a little daunting and impossible right now, but one step at a time and you can start shrinking your waistline and lower the risk.

All the best,
