Q: I work 10pm-6am fve days a week. Go to school full time for nursing and hit the gym everyday for an hour. but the problem is im not eating at the proper times. whats the best schdule to eat and lose

weight? i know u have to eat breakfast everyday, and exersice and get 8 hours of sleep but im just not scheduling everything right and fitting everthing in. work in a hospital as a cna so its pretty heckic. So where do i start to get onthe right track and start losing weight?

You can start by eating a better breakfast because what you eat matters more than when you eat. Search for healthier whole grains and eliminate the hidden sugars.

 

The metabolism works better with the first meal of the day as the biggest calorie meal with the last meal being the least calorie. The last meal should occur at least 3 hours before bedtime so that the body can properly digest before shutting down.

 

And stay away from the hospital food that is full of empty calories and fat. I should know.. I must have gained 50 pounds while in med school and residency. Those days and pounds are gone now, thank goodness.
