Can I exercise without hurting myself if I have hemorrhoids?

I am used to running daily, but have developed hemorrhoids for the first time in my life. They're not extremely painful, but I definitely don't want it to get worse. I'm dying without being able to exercise...is there anything I can do to work out but not aggravate my "situation"?
