Topics:Weight Loss - loose skin

I'm female, 36 years old and have had two children five years apart, both naturally. height - 152cms weight - as much as 69kgs, have been over weight for about 15 years, recently decided to deal with that, I won!! I did lose about 12kgs but I ended up with so much loose skin around my middle. I am wanting to know if this can be fixed with sit ups and exercise - walking mostly - or if surgery is the only way. I have seen many photos of women who have lost heaps of weight and do have a great toned looking belly area.  I would like to acheive this toned look without the surgery. Can any one help me, I am willing to put in the hard yards.

Thanks so much for your time

Yes, it is! I have done situps, crunches and ab back machines at fitness clubs. I lowered my carb intake and increased my proteins at the same time. After 4 children I needed all the help I could get.Smile You might want to check out the new Flat Belly Diet at Prevention.com. Not a single crunch required! I am searching out any and all resources to help me. I also found these Stomach-Slimming Recipes that I'm going to try there. The lemon cupcakes with citrus icing looked delicious.

Good luck in your quest!

I have had 2 kids in a span of 2 years apart. I will tell you what I did. I watch my diet carefully, no lesser than 1600 calories! Another thing. Keep your stomach muscles tight when you do any running, exercises in the gym. Don't let the stomach sag! Also I do variation every week. I dont ever do the same ab routines. Use one of those core balls. Get up on the ball and carefully straighten your self with your knees and legs on the ball and your hands on the floor, like a push up position. Than go back and your legs will straighten as the ball goes back, and than using your stomach mucles pull the ball in, this is hard. At first your body will shake, and you wont have too much control if your lucky you might get 10 reps in. Dont worry i started the same way. Now i can do 40 reps. Do this slow and than when you get more control you can increase your speed. Next go on the ball again, and use a weight. Stretch your arm back with the weight in both arms, and being it forward as you raise yourself up like a sit up with weight coming forward. Than once you can't do anymore. Do your sides.

get off the ball, and get a weight on one hand. Put your body weight on one leg and raise your knee and make the weight touch your knee, up and down with the weight, this is hard! You probably can do like 6 on each side, this is ok.

You can also do sit ups by placing your legs on the ball, and rolling the ball back and forth using your abs while your legs are on it! Don't use your back muscles, and always use your stomach to do most of the exercises, and always contract your stomach make it hard, don't let it get soft. You will see such a huge difference after 6-8 weeks. I started off a size 18 pants! Im now a size 10-11! my goal is to be a size 4!

I have some excess fat left, but you know what. as you lose your weight furthur it will go down even more. Also google in ab exercises, you can get more exercises online! Keep challenging all your muscles, don't stick to the same routine. My body plateau'd after losing 50 lbs, now i have finally come out of it.

Don't starve yourself, and always do your cardio - at high internsity first! Don't be lazy, dont go slow and go for a long time no! Time counts. you need 30-40 min cardio the fastest you can go!

I do ski/elliptical level 14 for 18 minutes

than treadmill 15 min level 7.0 fast sprint, with mixed semi-fast and incline

than 10 min step machine, or the actual cardio steap and do side lunges, squats, jumping side to side, you get the catch.

I have taken personal training twice, and twice i have been told you have to challenge your body hard to get the best results. at the end of the workout you should be wiped, but not so tired you cant walk to your car, lol.

I have lots of knowledge on weightloss

if you ever want anything email me
