I have gained mass through training but have also gained an unwanted belly!!

I have been training using various bodyweight training methods for approx 8 weeks. I train 4 days and take the fifth off. To fuel this, i have made some adjustments to diet, by consuming more fruit and eating more regularly. I am now into my third week of my new diet and, for the first time in my life, i have aquired an unwanted belly!!

I have made significant gains in muscle mass, so much so that my t shirts are outgrown!!

Is this fat gain just part of my bodys reaction to a diet change and will reduce in time, or have i got to study my diet more carefully?

I struggle with cardio work as i have a rupured cruciate.

Increased belly fat is a sign of too many calories - which youmay be justifying with your exercise schedule.  I would examine your portion sizes, your food choices (are you eating the superstars from each food group) and number of servings of protein, carbohydrates (breads), fats and dairy servings you are having daily.  If necessary see a nutritionist or dietician for a consult.

Watch this video to see how liposuction, used to remove unwanted localized deposits of fat, is performed.
