what can I eat in a lowfat diet? Do I have to stop eggs and bacon alltogether?
Hi Gene,
No, you do not have to eliminate eggs. It's best if you limit eggs to 2-3 eggs/week, even better if you opt for egg whites or egg substitute when appropriate. You can have bacon, but save it for special occasions and consider turkey bacon instead.
Staples of a low fat diet - fruits and vegetables with every meal and as snacks (good to fill up on fruits and veggies since they are low calorie and nutritious), lean meats, low-fat dairy, and whole grain products.
Don't forget to be active!
All the best,
