Starting a meal with a bowl of low-calorie soup may help you eat less, a new study suggests. Researchers at Penn State gave chicken and vegetable soup to a group of study participants. The participants who ate the soup before the main course consumed 20 percent fewer calories in the meal than those who did not eat soup.
