Eating too many calories--not lack of exercise--is to blame for the obesity epidemic, researchers say. The study, conducted at the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Obesity Prevention in Australia, found that people exercise about as much as they did 30 years ago, and maybe more. Despite that, the research participants weighed more, which meant that they ate too many calories.
