Expert: Diabetes could eventually bankrupt healthcare

The next financial crisis in America could be tied to Type 2 diabetes, one expert says. Doctor Joseph Donnelly, director of the Center for Physical Activity and Weight Management at the University of Kansas, says that if the rate of Type 2 continues to rise unabated it could bankrupt the healthcare system. Donnelly says that daily cardiovascular exercise is the key, and that despite many Americans’ complaints, 30 minutes per day is doable for most.
