One woman wants to know if taking the over-the-counter diet pill Alli will harm her breastmilk or her baby. Pediatrician Dr. Claire McCarthy says that it could cause several problems. Alli is a fat-blocker, and since some vitamins are fat soluble--meaning the body has to ingest fat in order to digest the vitamins--it could be possible that the breastmilk may not contain vital nutrients.
