According to a new study, aerobic exercise and strength training
may lower blood sugar levels as much as a single medication.
Canadian researchers recruited 251 sedentary diabetics and assigned
them to one of four exercise groups. After six months, researchers
determined that the patients who combined aerobic activity with
weight training had a nearly 1 percent drop in A1c levels.
