Tumeric may ease inflammatory bowel disease

New Zealand researchers have found that curcumin, the major yellow component of the turmeric spice, reduces inflammation for those suffering from inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The discovery may offer hope for diet-based treatments for the condition, but researchers caution that tumeric may not be a "one size fits all" solution.
