One drink a day may help women avoid weight gain, a new study has found. Researchers say women who drank the equivalent of one glass or wine, one beer, or one shot per day gained less weight over time than their peers who never drank and those who drank too much. But experts say you shouldn't start drinking regularly just to keep trim--the women in the study who drank moderately also consumed less calories overall, and ate fewer carbohydrates.
