A small study at UT-Southwestern Medical Center suggests that people who follow a low-carbohydrate diet burn more excessive liver fat than people who eat a low-calorie diet. According to a press release from the medical center, researchers randomly assigned 14 obese or overweight adults to one of the two diets. After two weeks, investigators found that people who ate the low-carb diet burned more excess fat in their livers--and lost more weight overall--than those who ate the low-calorie diet. T...
