Vitamin B12 or cobalamin, is an essential vitamin used for cell replication, red blood cell formation and the production of DNA and RNA. It also helps convert food into energy in the body but there is no link between this vitamin and weight loss. However, many people who receive B12 injections feel more energized and may exercise more which could lead to weight loss.
