Researchers at the University of Vermont have found that cherry juice may reduce the damage and pain caused by exercise. Study subjects were asked to drink either a blend of apple and cherry juice or a mixture that did not contain cherry juice before and after exercise. Cherry-juice drinkers showed a "significant difference" in loss of muscle strength from those who did not consume the juice.
