Statistics On Fast Food

Fast food can lead to fatty liver disease

A new study has found that too much fast food and too little exercise can damage the liver in a relatively short amount of time. Researchers selected 18 thin, healthy volunteers and put them on a fast food diet for one month. By the end of the fourth week, volunteers had put on an average of 15 pounds. Their liver enzymes were four times higher than they were before the study, and researchers say that 11 of the 18 participants showed signs of fatty liver disease. Read more »
