Researchers ID "exercise bulimia" eating disorder

Researchers say they've identified an eating disorder that they're calling "exercise bulimia." Sufferers of the disorder don't purge after eating, but they do exercise compulsively and to the point of physical excess. And experts say this form of disorder is harder to recognize in people because we are led to believe that any and all exercise is healthy. But researchers say the health repercussions from the disorder can be as bad or worse than the effects of being overweight, and they can include fatigue, fertility problems, osteoporosis, depression, and anxiety.  Read full story >
