Two Pringles Chip Flavors Recalled

(HealthDay News) UPDATED 2010-03-09
Two flavors of Pringles potato chips have been recalled because of concerns about possible Salmonella contamination. Both the Cheeseburger and Taco Night varieties of the chips are affected by the recall, Proctor & Gamble officials report. These are the latest products to be recalled because they contain hydrolyzed vegetable protein--a flavor enhancer--made by Basic Food Flavors Inc. in Las Vegas, a production facility where Salmonella was found. Proctor & Gamble officials say consumers who have purchased the affected products may receive a refund or a replacement coupon.
